Dance With The Guitar Man은 Duane Eddy의

1962년 작품이며 벤처스 악단과 함께

우리나라에서도 폭발적 인기를 얻었던 곡이다. 

듀안 에디는 기타줄로 굵은  저음줄을 사용하여 묵직한 음색을 만들었다.

 

1938년 뉴욕주 커밍시에서 태어나 에리조나주 휘닉스에서 정착한 

전기기타의 걸물, 듀언 에디는 비틀스를 탄생하게 하는데 일조를 

했다고 할만큼 그 음악적 영향력이 대단했던 인물이다. 

 

특히 강렬하고 맵시있는 비트로 묘미를 느끼게 하는

그의 독특한 전기기타 연주법은 "Twangin'"기타주법이라 불리우며 

미국의 기타 연주자 록 뮤직의 기본 음향중 하나인 트왱 사운드를 개발했다..

벤쳐스와 함께 수많은 기타 연주가와 락 그룹들에게 영향을 주었다.

트왱은 이후 록뮤직의 기본음향의 하나가 되었다.>

 

5세 때부터 기타를 연주했으며,

고교를 중퇴하고 애리조나주 피닉스에서 디스크자키로 활동했다

  

1958년

스티브 더글러스(Steve Douglas)의 테너 색소폰 연주가 곁들여진

Rebel Rouser를 발표하여 히트하였으며,

1958년부터 1963년 사이에 Ramrod, The Lonely One,

 Peter Gunn, Because They're Younge, 등 15곡이나 톱 40에 올랐다. 

 

1960년대에 들어와 인기가 다소 줄어들었으나,

그의 연주는 그룹 Shadows의 Hank Marvin,조지 해리슨, 브루스 스프링스틴등 

많은 기타 연주자들에게 영향을 끼쳤다.

 

1994년

로큰롤 명예의 전당(Rock and Roll Hall of Fame)

'공연자(performers)'부문에 올랐다.
